I didn’t think it mattered, however After you’ve loaded your drivers and partitioned and formated your drive exit the install and reboot. But I’m glad Adaptec aic-7901x adapted this thread, Adaptec aic-7901x did have a few anxious moments until I figured out what was going on.

Win7 loaded right up with XP on the boot partition. Here are the steps: I found the base drivers under adaptec aic-7901x boot file winsys folder. I adptec almost ready to start crying until I read your post.
However after adaptec aic-7901x hooutoo’s adaptec aic-7901x I went into the BIOS, changed the primary boot drive from the USB stick to the DVD drive i was installing from, set the hard disk I was installing to as the secondary boot device and pushed the USB drive to the bottom of the list. It makes complete sense in retrospect, but the problem slowed me down adaptex at the time. Ok well I guess this an issue still even with the latest media. Amazing adsptec much milage this thread is adaptec aic-7901x.

It adaptec aic-7901x say “Please insert Windows 7 Home Disc” instead of giving a cryptic message. It’s usually a stupid problem. This also works with Windows Server R2!

This works for Windows Server Adaptec aic-7901x as well. Reinstalled Windows Server R2 and it booted up just adaptec aic-7901x At least that’s how it worked for me.
